How awesome is this clip! Isn’t it great to see a band enjoying themselves on stage, there are no egos on display, just a band playing fantastic music and loving every minute of it! How lucky the audience were!

BH-1′s Pop-Up History: According to Byrne in an NPR interview, phrases he tried but ultimately didn’t use in the song’s recorded “verses” included “I have another body,” “Pick it up by the handle,” “You travel with a double,” and “I’m still under construction.” As for the title phrase in the chorus, one early attempt (as heard on a worktape) had him singing a different line, “What are we gonna do?”, and at another point in the process, “instead of chanting ‘Burning Down the House,’ I was chanting ‘Foam Rubber, USA.’
Thank-you, I found the use of slavery-motif in the choreography nauseating.Talking Heads were a good band, all David Bryne is now, is just a rich guy posing on stage because he is addicted to the adulation like the stones et-al- Times change thankfully we now live in the age of catawalling black women and their like, sex being a driving force in music sales, but I am older and rightfully consider it nothing to do with me- the current music scene that is.
I agree, the worship of celebrity is a disease in our society and serves as a distraction from war, economic recession and other more relevant things our collective consciousness should be focused on but talking heads are an incredible band. I was just confused as to why you said it. Thank you Yeah it needs a little bit of work, need far better recording equipment really. You got good taste in music by the way.
